Dutch Pet Insurance - Zero customer support
While getting an appointment was easy, getting a hold of ANY customer support after that has proven to be an impossible task. I have been trying to get a hold of them so that I can get a physical copy of my pets prescription and to no avail. No one has responded and they do not provide it to you. Instead. you're forced to order and wait for them to deliver to you. I guess this is how they offset costs and make their money. Terrible business practice! If you have a pet with medical needs, I can't recommend this company.

Spot Pet Insurance - This is a terrible insurance
This is a terrible insurance. Don't bother. Constant requests for more information from the vet, just so they can deny your claim. I had preventative coverage for my dog, and they requested 2 years worth of vet records to reimburse for a vaccine. You don't need 2 years of records to do this reimbursement. If you like to jump through constant hoops, and get denials, this is the insurance for you. Also, canceling the insurance is a nightmare. There is no way to do it online. They make you call them to cancel. Terrible business practice.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Completely unhelpful
Completely unhelpful, insensitive and useless. Did not help my cat at all in a serious condition.
Pawp - BAD FAITH INSURANCE WITH HIGH DENIAL RATES
We paid an entire year for our pets insurances paying the extra $20/mo for emergency services. On the last month our pet had an ER visit for an injury to his vertebrae. $800 and an entire month later we were denied because the documents weren't submitted with 14 days of the visit. We sent the documents a week after, and pawp did not review them for OVER a month. It's not on us to be at fault for the documents not being reviewed. They also claim a slipped disc is not an emergency when our pet was dragging his back paws. Bad faith insurance company with low approval rate for reimbursements. We had just renewed for another year before we got the denial and are looking for a new insurance. Spot pet insurance comes back as the top insurance and is more affordable. Everywhere I read reviews says to ignore pawp at all costs. Sad that the cost might be your pets life because they deny your claims.

I am deeply disappointed with this insurance, which I chose to avoid unexpected veterinary bills for my dog. I recently submitted a claim for a significant procedure my Yorkshire Terrier underwent, only to have it rejected twice. The rejection was based on the claim that the full medical history was not provided, despite it being included in the submission. This policy was meant to provide support and peace of mind, ensuring my pet was covered, but instead, it has added unnecessary stress and anxiety to my life. At this point, I am seriously considering canceling the policy, as it appears to be entirely ineffective.

Your waiting period should be announced in advance. I know that many people are not forthright and get insurance after the fact. I signed up for my dog for the long haul and I would have paid the whole year upfront. All i want to do is bring my dog in for its annual check up and add on services i ordered when I started the insurance.
