Old National Bank - Old National Bank Policy - Release E Title - 10 Policy
**Old National Bank Holding My E-Title Hostage – Beware If You Need to Sell Your Vehicle**
Just a heads-up for anyone dealing with **Old National Bank** and **electronic titles**—if you plan on selling your vehicle, **expect a MINIMUM 10-day delay** before they release it.
I am trying to sell my truck on Facebook Marketplace, but when I went to get the title released, **Old National Bank told me it's their policy that E-Titles take at least 10 days to process, with no way to expedite it.**
This has been an absolute nightmare because I have a buyer ready to go, but I’m stuck waiting on the bank’s slow system. No workaround, no exceptions—just their policy, and I have to deal with it.
If you're planning to sell a vehicle and your title is held electronically with Old National, **be prepared for unnecessary delays** and frustrated buyers. Just wanted to put this out there in case it helps someone avoid the same headache.
Has anyone else dealt with this nonsense? Is there ANY way to speed this up?
Trupanion - 7-year old dog, NYC - stay on Trupanion or switch to AKC with hereditary plus?
My dog has been with Trupanion for 5 years. She was healthy as a horse when we switched her, so I thought we were in the clear for no pre-existing conditions. Obviously, naive. Anyways, they are rejecting all tooth extraction claims because a vet wrote "mild tartar" one time in her records 5 years ago. The vet never said anything to us about her teeth until this year, when they told us she needed extractions due to bone loss in her jaw. The vet says it should be covered, but they rejected the claim and I am not holding out hope for the appeal.
I am considering switching her to AKC. They won't cover her teeth either - but I can get a high-deductible plan with hereditary plus coverage for $70 per month. It would cover pre-existing conditions after 365 days, according to the person I spoke with. So I could save over $30 per month, that could go towards her inevitable future extractions.
My thinking is that I now understand that the insurance companies can turn anything into a pre-existing condition post-hoc. I don't trust Trupanion to not do that again. At least with AKC, they cover pre-existing conditions so if she ever got cancer on her ear, for example, it wouldn't be excluded just because she had an ear infection in 2020. Is this thinking sound? Has anyone switched to AKC and could give some advice?

Anthem - Switched to HMO. Insurance hasn't updated their PCP list and my doctor isn't listed even though they're in-network
I switched to an HMO plan, and all doctors at the practice I go to accept my insurance, including my PCP. However, the PCP I was seeing is relatively new, and because of that, they don't show up on the list of providers when I go to assign my PCP with my plan online. I remember having this issue a year ago when I tried seeing them for the first time (I wound up having to wait until my job gave me an EPO plan). I love my PCP, and don't want to have to choose a new one after being with them for a while. Is there anyway to get my insurance (Anthem) to update their list? Or would the doctor have to go through a process on their end?
Canada Life - Canada Life is driving me nuts
I usually get my glucose sensors direct billed, but every once in a while I will have to pay out of pocket if one stops working. What irritates me is I’ll submit the claim — and it won’t cover what it will when direct billed. I’m talking $100 less when self submitted. I call them, they say it should be covered as normal and they’ll look into it — but I see nothing on my end saying the claim is being reevaluated, and no secondary deposit. Months later, nothing. I get the sensors direct billed… normal coverage. Submitted another receipt, and it comes back $100 short. Before you say to just go and get the prescription at the pharmacy where they process my insurance, it’s an hour bus each way. The pharmacy I get the sensor at out of pocket is within walking distance. As for why I don’t transfer to that pharmacy… 10% less coverage, which for my medication is an extra $200 per month AT LEAST. Any advice to actually have Canada Life follow up on their processing error?
LA Insurance - Michigan Small Claims Court - Car Accident
Location: Michigan - Just wondering if this is an appropriate thing for small claims and wanted to hear some opinions as I've never sued anyone before or have been involved in small claims.
I was in a car accident on March 11. I was not the driver at fault. The other driver involved in the accident was cited for failure to stop (she rear-ended me at a stop light), no driver's license, and for not wearing a seat belt. Her insurance was listed on the police crash report as LA Insurance. Come to find out, she did not have that car insured at the time of the accident. I called LA insurance, and several other companies under that franchise, and found her name and policy, but she had a different vehicle insured and not the one involved in the accident.
My insurance company reached out to her, didn't receive a response, and ran the VIN on the vehicle she hit me with, verified that the car was in her name, but did not find an insurance policy attached to the vehicle. I told the police department this and they will be updating the police crash report.
Subsequently, I can't file a claim with her insurance because she doesn't have any. I have been encouraged to sue her in small claims court. My car was basically totaled in that accident (it was also an older used vehicle with 197,000+ miles on it), so I leased a new vehicle. Can I ask to receive at least the down payment I put down on that new vehicle? I'm also going to ask for storage fees of having my car at a repair shop as well as the fees to file with small claims. I did have items stolen from my vehicle while it was at that repair shop, but I don't have a dollar amount for them so I don't think it would be appropriate to put those in the small claims case. But I'm really just wondering if asking for the amount I paid as a down payment on a new vehicle would be appropriate.
Like I said, I have never done this before. Advice is greatly appreciated!
Aetna - Any way to negotiate the bill amount?
I need advice on how to negotiate a bill that I received from my insurance. I had a neck and upper shoulder pain for more than a week and I went to a specialist. He did some routine range of motion checks and just advised to avoid the gym and use a heat pack.
Now I see I've got a bill where Aetna was billed $1155 for the office visit and my bill is $375.76 which is around 30%. This seems like a very high charge for a 10 minute routine appointment.
Is there any way I can either ask for a reduction on what Aetna was billed or what they charged me? The latter seems less likely since I haven't hit my deductible yet
Edit: This is NY state and the appointment was at NYU Langone
Embrace - Pet insurance that actually covers hereditary conditions?
I just dropped Embrace pet insurance. My dog has a soft palate and breathing problems which are hereditary. The woman on the phone said they do cover hereditary conditions as long as it wasn't something that was detected before the policy began or after the waiting period, because then it gets listed as a pre-existing condition, which no pet insurance covers. I'm so confused. If the condition is hereditary then of course it was detected early on. I've literally spent 10k on vet bills for my dog (who's only 10 months old) and I've never been reimbursed fot a single thing because everything she went in for is considering "pre-existing", whether its seizures, bladder issues, bowel obstruction, or anything related to breathing. She gets aspiration pneumonia like every 2 months because she throws up and then it goes back into her lungs and then I have to pay for x-rays and give her antibiotics. The waiting period for it to not be considered pre-existing is 180 days. That's just not possible in her case. Literally the only way I'd ever be reimbursed for anything is if she broke a leg or something. Is there any pet insurance that will cover hereditary health issues without listing them as pre-existing? Do I just go to a different vet and not give her insurance info from her previous vet or what? Her vet bills are becoming unaffordable at this point. Just at a loss of what to do. Anyone who can give me advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Progressive - Progressive almost doubled my rate at renewal
I decided to go with progressive when I purchased my new car in march. I paid $850 for my 6 month plan. I just got my renewal and they want 1400!! I used the snapshot and got 4/5 start, haven't had any tickets or accidents since I started with them. I hit a deer in November of 24 but that was report on my first plan so what's making my rate so high? I got on their website and did a quote for myself (including the deer accident) and it said $700 for 6 months.

Nationwide Pet Insurance - Advice to change insurance for two 4yo cats?
I have two cats, Fox and Ollie. They are brothers and turn four in September.
I got Nationwide Pet Insurance in July 2024 for the first time. I did not notice at the time, but their plans didn't match.
Fox's was $189 for the year, Ollie was $190.
I called to change the renewal policy so it was the same, and to add Behavioral coverage. I wanted to match Ollie's coverage to Fox's, add behavioral.
Fox's renewal, with NO CHANGES, increases by $125/YEAR in July. The woman on the phone said it's "because he is a year older." Lady, he will be FOUR this year. FOUR.
Current: $19/mo > $29/mo
So, recommendations? They are two boys, indoor, vaccines up to date but no recent vet visit.
I'm mildly concerned Ollie has a behavioral issue but no diagnosis and running off vibes and tiktok diagnosis, not real doctors. I am going to wait to take him to the vet about this until I have the right insurance policy JIC, but SHOULD I even have cat insurance?!?!
Otherwise, they're two healthy young cats. Indoor. Thoughts?
