Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.
Westlake Financial - Refinancing a car loan that I just got couple weeks ago
I just financed a truck about 3 weeks ago and the dealer approved me with a loan through Westlake financial, I didn’t know much about them but after searching them, people have negative reviews about them. Well now I’m thinking that if I refinance my car loan, would it still count as 1 hard inquiry since I’m still under the “checking best rates”
Time frame. Or should I just wait a couple months and then refinance later
Progressive - Tier 3M with Progressive - what does this mean?
I noticed on my renewal for my auto policy with Progressive that I was listed in tier 3M. Google told me this is a high risk tier, but I have been driving for many years, have a clean driving record, and no claims. I am, based on my driving record and insurance history, a low risk driver. Is this a high risk tier? Does anyone know how these tiers are assigned? If I am incorrectly assigned to the wrong tier, how do I fix that?
Cigna - Cigna dental denied covered claim
Cigna denied my claim for a “periodic oral evaluation-established patient”, but approved adult cleaning (two per calendar year). This was the second examination and cleaning I got in the year.
Reason for denial is “N4 - This claim is denied due to lack of information. If you would like to have the claim reconsidered, please submit the information requested”
I contacted Cigna customer service twice and both agents said they didn’t know what the information requested was and provided no course of action.
Who can I reach out to to understand what additional information is requested since Cigna doesn’t know?
Northwestern Mutual - Life and disability insurance question
Hi everyone, I got to this forum after seeing some "NW mutual life insurance is a scam" posts and i'm not sure if I got scammed. I was in medical training when a financial adviser told me about getting disability and life insurance.. with NW mutual... I'm 35 years old, very healthy, I pay about 87$ for 2M Term to 80 policy with no annual dividend. And my premium for disability is $110.. Looking for advice if I should switch to a different broker (if thats an option) or just general advice.
Root Insurance - Think i'm screwed, what to do (Hail Damage)
Okay so I have a new vehicle, and I decided to use Root Insurance. Usually the insurance websites automatically add comprehensive and collision when you state it's financed. So I thought it had. Anyway, it was liability only. Now last week there was a hailstorm and it did some damage to the car. Not hardcore but it js noticeable up close. What can I do? All I can do is fix it right with my own money? Will the bank go after me? I'm just so lost right now any advice would be appreciated.
Blue Cross Blue Shield - ACA
Do agents typically approach you?
I was approached by a woman with a tablet telling me about insurance plans and claiming she was from ACA.
She asked me if I wanted to apply to see if I were eligible and told me that I could cancel at any tome should I enroll in it.
Turns out I was eligible for a basic plan that I pay 0 dollars for.
So I am a bit skeptical about the whole thing. I have a screenshot about a confirmation on an onboard app. It has a Premier Secure number to cancel.
I’m 90% my dumbass got scammed or something.
I’ve done an enrollment with a Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance in a similar manner but I canceled that one because the mandatory doctor was an hour away.
State Farm - Coverage A vs Increased Dwelling
I reached out to my State Farm rep about why my homeowners insurance went up 30% this year and he said “that’s just what they’ve been seeing lately” and offered to decrease my Coverage A and Increase my Dwelling coverage to bring down the premium. The total replacement cost covered would remain the same.
He was selling this as effectively being identical if we would be rebuilding in case of a disaster, but something doesn’t pass the smell test. Has anyone else opted to do something similar? He was unable to articulate why State Farm would do this if the coverage was the same. He only
Personal coverage would decline as a percentage of coverage A. Is there anything else I’m missing or anything else I should ask?
homeowners insurance - Condo water leak question
Very long story short, condo had a water leak 4 months ago. My homeowners insurance says that based on the HOA bylaws, the HOA is responsible for the damage. HOA is saying the opposite. So I’m at a stalemate. What do I do? I’m assuming an attorney is my next step but who pays those legal fees if I win? Condo is in South Carolina if that matters.
To make it more complicated, my insurance sent in water mitigation contractors that completely ripped my kitchen out. They did this before asking me for a copy of the HOA policy and determining they’re not responsible for yet it was their contractor that came in. Now I have no kitchen and both parties saying they’re not responsible. Ugh.
Corvel - Should I give up?
I was in an accident back in April. At the time I did not have insurance on my car. The driver who hit and totaled my car admitted fault. Since I didn’t have insurance at the time I contacted their insurance company(Corvel) myself. After 2 months of constantly calling I was able to get in contact with an agent and she was able to compensate me for the car damages and towing charges. She later said she would take care of my medical. I was supposed to gather my medical records from the day of the accident and my medical bills and email them to her. I sent them back in the beginning of June and have not heard back since. Ive emailed and called and have heard nothing. Is this worth pursuing or should I just call it a day and be grateful for what I have received?
Premier Health Solutions - Got scammed, worried I’ll be charged again.
26, tried to get heath care for the first time in January. I thought I was going through healthcare.gov. Guess I called a wack number. “Premier Health Solutions/Health care member services.” Told me 383$ for first 2 months as lump payments then $10 rest of the year. That was a straight up lie. It’s 383$ every month and I will be broke if I keep getting charged. I went through the chat feature to begin cancelation and got an email saying the process has started and I’ll get confirmation but I haven’t yet. I called again about it and they said I’ll get a call from an agent to confirm cancellation. I can’t afford to make another payment and I’m terrified.
