Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.
Spot Pet Insurance - Scam
Scam! They tell you they reimburse a certain way, but when you file a claim, they don't cover anything you are paying premiums for. I pay for a 90% policy, but that is not how they processed our claims. High premiums compared to reimbursement.
Pet Insurance - Don't Use This Company If You Love Your Pet
I truly wish I could leave negative stars. My sweet little dog is in advanced heart disease and has multiple ER visits a year, along with tons of vet appointments and medications. After raising the cost astronomically every year for the past 7 years, they are now canceling his insurance and giving me insurance that barely covers anything. Late-stage capitalism wins again. I'm so sick of this country and if I didn't love my niece and nephews so much, I'd be gone. I have no choice but to accept their terrible replacement insurance because he is 12 with preexisting conditions. I'll be cancelling ALL of my other Nationwide policies. Not that there is such thing as ethical, user-prioritized insurance of any kind in this god-forsaken country, but at least it will be satisfying to cancel my auto, home, and renters!
Spot Pet Insurance - you've asked me twice for my puppys…
you've asked me twice for my puppys medical history. I've provided it and you keep asking for records back to 1-1-25. He was born 1-31-2025 and i bought him when he was almost 5 months old. Right after that i took him for shots etc. That is his history
MetLife Pet Insurance - App sucks
App sucks. This company truly needs to get there shit in order.
MetLife Pet Insurance - Used to be very good. Not any more.
Recently, the service has really declined. I had to submit a couple of claims for my dogs this summer, and each time, the information was entered incorrectly by your staff. The claim was entered under the wrong dog, twice. A procedure was entered incorrectly. And trying to get it corrected is a real ordeal. I'm still in the process. I was told my claim was "escalated" for review, but that was weeks ago. Very disappointing.
Trupanion - Your IT issues have became unbearable…
Your IT issues have became unbearable to me as the consumer
MetLife Pet Insurance - My insurance rate went up when I asked…
My insurance rate went up when I asked if it could be lowered and I was told that it could be lowered by $10 because I volunteered at the Humane Society however then I was told that the $500 extra that I got this year because of not using all of my insurance last year would be taken away. So I wasn’t able to get the $10 discount for volunteering.
Lemonade - As with all insurance companies
As with all insurance companies, Lemonade is dropping my home in California even though my policy doesn’t expire till November. They stated they would cover all but fire and to use the fair plan from California. When I researched this, I asked them what my policy would now cost me without fire. They responded back that they won’t cover me at all, after stating they would. It’s just about the dollar to them. I would never use them again, even as I am planning on moving. I suggest you move on from them.
Lemonade - Lemonade will find a way to deny your claim
My dog hit his head hard enough on the windshield of the car to break it. I called an emergency vet and Lemonade's own online vet service (through Chewy) to see if I should take him to a vet. They both said yes. I specifically asked the vet I texted with through Lemonade if this would be covered. She said it would be because my plan covered accidents and illnesses. This seems like the definition of an accident to both of us. Lemonade denied the claim saying I had not paid for the plan that covers vet consultations. This just makes me think they will figure out how to deny just about anything. (It was only $200 and it would have simply counted toward my deductible. I have never made a claim with them before.)
Pawp - Has tons of potential
This was free with Walmart plus membership. It has so much potential but really lacks a lot. A telehealth platform for pets is a great idea whether it's free or there's a small fee. Pawp is free but in my state they cannot dispense prescriptions...so I ask "why bother??!" The point, in my opinion , is to save a vet visit fee and just have to pay for a script. A fine service if it were designed that way. So in order to get money they recommend and provide links of pet items you can use from Walmart...or their emergency insurance , which "no thank you, I'm not a circus performer, and jumping thru any hoops" for that offer ....I'm okay with pushing Walmart pet items if thats in conjunction with vet service that includes a prescription.
