Nationwide - Your automotive phone is just horrible
Your automotive phone is just horrible! I have been a customer for 6 years and to this date, it doesn't recognize my phone number. I have asked your agents at least 40 times to please look into it. Still not fixed 6 years later and 5 pets are insured with you. I have been paying 6 years worth of premiums and it still isn't fixed!
You change policies every year and the benefits get less, but the price goes up!
Embrace - Having problems submitting claims
Having problems submitting claims, seems the website locks up from time to time and does not allow you to finish. Have to submit again the next day.

ASPCA - This insurance is a SCAM
They will find any reason to deny your claim. I got my dog from the pound and all of his old medical history we could not get ahold of because it was not given to the pound we got it from. We only had the medical records from whenever he was in the pound to whenever we started taking him to the vet. They were trying to deny the claim because they didn’t have any of his records to see if they could prove that it was a “pre-existing condition”. They will try to say that everything your dog has is a pre existing condition. Do not recommend and this is a SCAM. If you do try and call about it, they’ll tell you that they’ll have someone reach out to you but within 3 weeks I never got a single call and any time I would call to get an update they would act like they didn’t know what I was talking about. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.
Healthy Paws - We had all claims for our 2 pups…
We had all claims for our 2 pups denied. It's a tribunal every time your puppy catches a cold and you want to get it covered - nothing like human medical insurance at all. I'd look for another option. This company has a lot of negative reviews, especially in recent years, and I wish that I had done my homework before signing up with them....Responding to their reply, the appointments were not all during the waiting period though their reason for rejecting was always "waiting period" in writing but if you called they gave a different answer. You can't win with this group- try somewhere else.
Pets Best - Still waiting
Over a month since my kitten had a long string removed from her intestine. Spoke with customer service a week ago who said everything was in order and that it would be completed within a day.
My other kittens claim was completed quickly (we didn't know who ate the string off the toy).
10k credit card bill. Ouch! Do payments delays include interest?
Spot - Submitted claims disappear
It’s easy to submit claims but sometimes I have to submit the same claims multiple times. The claims I submitted don’t show in the app or sometimes they seem to disappear.
Pets Best - So far disappointed
So far, I’m disappointed. The app is glitchy, the reimbursement process is unclear, and a skin/ear infection was somehow determined without explanation. Starting to regret not going with Trupanion instead. Frustrating experience overall, would not recommend.
Trupanion - Very expensive and would not honor the…ha
Very expensive monthly fee; and Trupanion would not honor one of my former claims even though it was appealed by my vet. My vet said my dog had an ear infection with no sign of allergies at the time of the exam. She said Trupanion only assumed it was.

I have not yet received reimbursement for the 2 visits made to Vet.
The last time I submitted receipts they never paid anything for the $400. dental bill !!
This will be the last time I pay all this money for coverage and receive nothing!
I am not at all pleased with the lack of service this company provides!
