Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Non existent customer service, poor record keeping, denying claims that should be covered under my policy…
I hate to write such a negative review, but I have attempted resolve these issues between myself and the company with no results multiple times… This is perhaps the biggest issue, as maybe the other issues could have been resolved if not for this one, but their customer service is non existent. They continue to send me generic requests for more health history for my dog in order to process the first claim I ever made. I’ve submitted the requested history 6 or 7 times on the app, website, and via email. I’ve contacted customer service MULTIPLE times to get more clarification and try to resolve this issue (as SOAPs ARE included and the records I have submitted are all I have- I work in the veterinary industry and my dog has seen the vets I worked for,) and either receive no response or the same generic response. If I get anything more, they respond once and then ghost me. It’s been over a month since I originally attempted to file. The first claim filed for my second dog was denied, even though it is acupuncture by a boarded veterinarian which is supposed to be covered in my plan. I have sport dogs so I chose this coverage specifically to cover things like acupuncture, etc. Additionally, my veterinarian confirmed with me that they have multiple other clients who use Healthy Paws and their insurance covers the acupuncture, AND I have two friends who have received acupuncture by the same vet and have Healthy Paws which covers theirs with the exact same submitted records/invoices. I filed a dispute regarding this over a week ago and have heard nothing. As it stands I’m currently paying for two dogs monthly, one of which they won’t cover anything on until they “receive” the records that I have sent over and over (so I’m essentially paying for NOTHING) and the other of which is currently not being covered for things that the plan specifically states coverage for. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. I will be sharing my honest experience with clients and other dog trainers and sports competitors.
Figo Pet Insurance - Not impressed so far
I didn't have a great experience with the claim processing. It was hard to get all the medical records in and the submission process was handled in an automated way (i.e. lacking any personalization or sense that a person was on the other side).
ManyPets - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
**Review of Manypets Pet Insurance**
Wagmo - Fraudulent Scam Artist
I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with my recent experience with Wagmo Insurance. I had to face a stressful situation when they unjustly denied coverage for my pet's treatment for Addison's disease, claiming it was a pre-existing condition, which it clearly was not.
Figo Pet Insurance - Doesn't work well with Veterinary…
Doesn't work well with Veterinary office. False advertising on what is covered.
Paw Protect - I didn’t even want to give one star I…
I didn’t even want to give one star I just was told by their company that my dog, a two year coton de tulear Could not be covered because they had requested a medical review from the vet that I have, and that they lied and said that the vet told them the puppy had alopecia periodontal disease and more made up lies! save your money. They are a racket trying to get money and they’re not gonna cover your pet for anything! a total honest to goodness, rip off! a lawsuit should be started for their lying, taking my money every month and lying about what the veterinarian said when I just got off the phone from the vet and they said there was never such a thing ever said about periodontal or alopecia ! shame on you, paw protect shame on you embrace shame, shame, shame !
Figo Pet Insurance - Do your research
I got my puppy in October and did all his paperwork with the insurance to make sure he was covered for all his appointments. We have submitted like 10 claims since October, and we have yet to be told yes or no to anything. They just keep telling us they don't have the paperwork that we have submitted 5 times already. This is ridiculous. I am so angry and annoyed about this whole situation. So far customer service has not been helpful at all.
Pet Secure - THE WORD SCAM IS TOO GOOD FOR THEM
Just found out today that I’m still paying insurance on my pet Soccie who passed away last October. I called and advised in October that he had passed. Was told of their deductible that wouldn’t have covered the care. Called in today after receiving some kind of notice to ask if I’m still paying. Was told I was. That’s after they verified that I made the call last October. Was told that without filling out forms they would continue to take money. Advised them I was going to my bank to cancel there. Was told if I do that it will go into collections after 2 months of non payment and would affect my credit if I didn’t pay. Going to my bank to cancel anyway. BEWARE THESE PEOPLE ARE BLOOD SUCKERS. Makes me wonder how many have lost pets and don’t realize they will be paying into perpetuity without jumping through hoops they don’t know exist. My bet, it’s at least in the hundreds. This doesn’t end here.
Figo Pet Insurance - Denied my dogs prescription food for…
Denied my dogs prescription food for this illness which was prescribed along with an antibiotic. They said it wasn’t the sole thing that would treat the illness. Makes no sense, it’s what the dr prescribed for the illness. Not happy
Figo Pet Insurance - Read the fine print with FIGO
Unfortunately I've learned that with FIGO, their fine print isn't beneficial to the pet owner. In order for them to pay for my Golden Retriever's ear infections for skin issues, they'd have to go 1 year without any vet visits for these issues before they'd consider paying for this expenses. One year is a LONG time with a dog who is prone to these issues and it's just frustrating navigating them constantly telling you that "this isn't covered because....".
