Pets Best - Dissatisfied customer
When you send all the paperwork, and then they lied to me, saying they contacted my vet clinic to get my dogs full history. In fact I had to call my Vet and get my dogs medical history for them to process a claim. I’m not getting paid to do their job, so in return they should reimburse me for doing their.

Spot - Based on the research I did
Based on the research I did, I thought this was going to be a great company to work with. I have Met Life for my other dog, and I really had not complaints with them. I just thought based on the research this comlany would be great for my new puppy. Boy was I wrong!! Stay away from them. They don't cover anything at full cost, they make it sound so great but in reality I have been to 4 vet visits totaling well over 700 and I have not even yet met my $250 deductible. Run away, I went to one visit and with Met life I was already on the path to reimbursement. Please do yourself a favor and don't believe the hype of this company. I can't wait to switch back to Met Life.
Pets Best - Deny. Delay. Appeal.
Just an awful experience! Nearly five years of coverage and suddenly an accidental ingestion claim has been denied. We’re talking nearly $3k of charges.
I filed the appeal, then received an email stating it would take 60days for review and they REQUIRE medical records from 18 months prior to effective date.
This means 75months of records. Funny how easy it is to take out a policy, but never can get reimbursement. It’s just as bad as human insurance.

Just how much money they can make off you. Don't bother calling you will be on hold forever just so they can give you a crap excuse as to why you're considered a new patient and not welcome. Happy holidays, they don't care if your animal needs help, they would rather lose your paperwork and say they aren't accepting "new" patients. I will make sure everyone i know either doesn't go here or transfers to an actual caring vets office. Rude and ruthless.
MetLife - Maybe the worst company/professional service I've dealt with in my life
I cannot stress enough how disappointing and infuriating my experience with MetLife Pet Insurance has been. Their service is beyond incompetent when it comes to handling claims. Over a dozen of my dog’s medical claims were delayed, denied, or left in limbo as they repeatedly extended the review period, claiming they needed “additional documentation”—despite everything being provided multiple times.
One particularly egregious incident involved an appeal from my vet, which MetLife representatives claimed they didn’t receive—twice! My vet confirmed the appeal had been sent both times, yet MetLife denied it until the appeal period expired, leaving me with no recourse. This was not just unprofessional; it felt deliberately obstructive.
The lack of communication, constant runarounds, and blatant mishandling of claims has made this the absolute worst customer experience I’ve ever encountered. Dealing with MetLife has been nothing but stress and frustration, and I wouldn’t recommend this insurance to anyone. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for pet insurance.

Title says it all. It’s such a scam. We wasted so much money paying them for zero help when we needed it. Look elsewhere for what you need. We were customers for less than a year. Started okay and progressively got worse then terrible.
Healthy Paws - Chubb bought and ruined Healthy Paws
Since Chubb bought them in April 2024 there's been a distinct shift in how they treat customers. They deny everything, claims people are downright rude and they've cut coverage and increased prices. No longer offer a 90% reimbursement. Max is 80% and it's more expensive than the 90% was.
Go elsewhere. HealthyPaws is definitely no longer any good.

Fetch - WORST PET INSURANCE OF ALL TIME!
Fetch Pet Insurance is an absolute scam. We filed a $9,000 claim for our pet’s medical expenses and received literal pocket change in compensation. Their policies are riddled with fine print designed to deny your claims, and their so-called “coverage” is a joke.
They don’t care about your pets or their well-being — it’s all about the money. Avoid this company at all costs if you value your pet’s health and your wallet. Do yourself a favor and find an insurance provider that actually cares. Fetch is nothing more than a predatory business hiding behind a façade of concern for animals. Total disgrace.
Pets Best - Awful- Deny and Delay Claims is the game
Awful! They continuously look at ways to get out of paying claims and will even call your vet to ask them to alter their SOAP notes.
Don't be fooled by the cute advertisements; four years of paying premiums for ZERO reimbursement after an ER visit that was a first time diagnosis.
