Embrace - Not that great
Submitting a claim is easy. However they don't reimburse as described. Be sure to read the fine print. Buyer beware
ASPCA - Horrible
Horrible. Over charge and no help. Look else where.
ASPCA - Dissatisfied and they kept $ after cancellation dog insurance for my…
I purchased dog insurance for my service dog when I got him last April 2024.
I also set up direct monthly payments to ASPCA to cover the premiums.
As of last month, I received a letter stating that ASPCA canceled my coverage because I had not paid since August 2024.
The fact of the matter is that payments set up from my personal account continued to be paid up until the cancellation letter came. I deleted that payment setup and I was furious.
I have contacted ASPCA in writing and asked for reimbursement of that accumulated sum of premium payments from the cancellation date they stated and also requested all of my out of pocket and expenses I had to pay because the insurance didn’t cover these expenses sufficiently.
What a racket. Vets these days offer much better payment options and those options are far and above much cheaper than ASPCA’s coverage and reimbursement.
My suggestion is to stick with saving the animals, instead of pillaging from and with your inadequate and expensive pet insurance. It appears to me that ASPCA is about the bottom line rather than the safety and security of animals they claim to wholeheartedly support.
This is my 2nd attempt at spreading the truth.
I would have never thought ASPCA would go down this path of corporate corruption.

Trupanion Canada - Call over chat because chat agents are ignorant :)
Giving my review a 3 star because of the person I talked to on the phone. This review would be a 1 star if it wasn’t for him. Honestly wish I had an email I could contact to put in a complaint about the last chat agent I spoke to. I told him to put in a note of a complaint of his service but he ended the chat immediately so he probably didn’t. So I’ll leave it here instead. Absolutely rude and ignorant chat agent. Considering I also work in insurance and wouldn’t be able to act that way to customers at my job was just absolutely floored :)
The call agent I appreciated and he’s the only reason I didn’t cancel my service completely. The chat agent I spoke to before the person on the phone left a bad taste for me though and seemed like he knew absolutely nothing and was completely rude and defensive about it.
Embrace - service was what I expected

Fetch - Fetch insurance is a total scam
Fetch insurance is a total scam, they have no phone number to contact them. After being a customer for one and a half years they would not even reimburse me for my dog's ear infection! the total invoice was 92.00 dollars. My monthly payments were 65.00 dollars!! go figure a scam.
Embrace - My dog was excluded for any future cancer
I was asked repeatedly to submit my pets records. I submitted them than was asked to do it again. This happened three times to the point I was extremely annoyed. The process was suppose to take approx 30 days. I was told the 30 days starts from the date they receive the last record from the vet. After two months I received a policy that excluded my dog from any kind of cancer because she had a benign cyst removed. The premium amount was over $100 a month which was outrageous for excluding cancer. I went to Nationwide Pet insurance. They also excluded her but for a cyst if it showed up in the same spot. They did not exclude her from any future cancer. In fact, I was told to call back in six months and they will review her records and if she had no issues they will remove that exclusion. My dog has unlimited coverage that now covers everything with Nationwide. Embrace took way too long to review her records and excluded her for any future cancer. That was a very big deal to me since my dog is only 1 year old.
