GEICO - Leased BMW Needs New Windshield. Does it have to be OEM?
My vehicle needs a new windshield. It’s a lease and reading the agreement, it says the following: You are responsible for repairs of all physical damage that is not a result of normal wear and use. All service and repairs must be made with new and genuine manufacturer’s original equipment replacement parts, regardless of the terms of your insurance policy. Does this mean it has to be OEM? I have GEICO and they said they will not pay for OEM.
United Healthcare - Type 1 diabetes/health insurance in ohio being married
I am wondering if anyone has figured out the best insurance available in ohio that is budget friendly? I use to have medicaid but they kicked me off a few months ago and ever since I've been on this healthcare marketplace insurance with united healthcare but in still struggling with paying it and living my life lol...
I have omnipod and dexcom g7 and they barely cover that... I'm also wondering if it would help to find separate insurance from my spouse? Or just to stay on the same insurance?
renter’s insurance - Stuck in a Deadlock Between My Insurance and Property Management
Hey folks,
I’m dealing with a frustrating situation involving my apartment’s property management and my insurance company, and I could really use some advice.
There was a minor fire accident in my apartment, and the total bill is under $5,000. My renter’s insurance is willing to cover the cost, but they require the property management to sign a release form. The problem is, the property management’s legal team wants to make edits to the form, but my insurance company’s legal team won’t allow any modifications.
So now I’m stuck in this deadlock where:
• My insurance won’t pay without the signed release form.
• The property management won’t sign it unless they can edit it.
• My insurance won’t accept any edits.
I feel like I’m caught in the middle with no way to move forward. Has anyone dealt with something similar? Any suggestions on how to break this stalemate? I just want to get this resolved without it dragging on forever.
Would appreciate any insights!
Mortgage Company - Real Estate property tax - land auctioned off
Looking for advice on what my options are. I'm on a high school teacher salary and never had to seek out an attorney for any reason. Location: Oklahoma
Long story short: My home & small piece of land are on 2 parcels that were purchased together. In late 2023 l received notices from the county that my taxes weren't paid. I called my mortgage company since they're the ones that have been paying them each of the previous years we've owned this house with no issues. I got another letter from the county in 2024. I called mortgage company and let them know it happened again. They said we're on it. I left the country for work for 4 months while my wife and kids stayed behind. While I was overseas we got another letter saying my property would go up for auction if taxes aren't paid. My wife called mortgage company again, they say they're going to get it taken care of, not sure what the issue is, but they're on it though.
Right before I come home, my wife gets a letter from the county that our property was auctioned off and we have 1 year to appeal the sale. It was only one of the 2 parcels we own that got sold off - a .5 acre plot that's basically my front yard all the way down to the road.
After back & forth with county and mortgage co. we found out the issue was that the actual mortgage paperwork that we signed does not list both parcel numbers. We owned both parcels according to the county, but the bank said oh, well we only paid for the taxes listed on the mortgage you signed, not our problem. Problem for them is, the descriptive measurements in the paperwork include both parcels, they just forgot to type both parcel numbers in.
Mortgage co. admits fault. We get a letter from them saying that they messed up and are fixing it. Haven't heard anything in a while so called today and was told the last thing written in the notes for my account are from a few months ago that said the company was trying to purchase the property back from the person that bought it at auction. I'm waiting for a response from someone else higher up, but I feel like they're intentionally dragging their feet to get to the 1-year point where nothing can be done.
I don't need the "why didn't you just pay it yourself, you're equally at fault" response. I was in Germany and that's neither here nor there; the ultimate point is that the bank admitted it's their fault and are trying to buy it back but it's been almost 5 months and no progress.
What are my options that I need to be finding a quality attorney for?
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Healthy paws pet insurance
Is it even legal for Healthy Paws pet insurance to increase premiums at almost 200% in CA? This is outrageously high!! Anyone experiencing the same?

AHCCCS - AHCCCS denial
Hopefully this is the right place to post. Did AHCCCS get harder to qualify for in terms of paperwork or proof requirements? When I applied in 2021 I just sent in bank statements. Now they want 7 different pieces of evidence to prove self employment for my wife. She makes like $5k per year and is thinking about not working all together to qualify. When we called to ask them about not working, they said we’d have to prove that too… WTH ! Thanks,
Pets Best - Help with Pet insurance
I was hoping someone might have some insight on pet insurance. I have a 2 yo pit bull who, in the last year, started limping. (At this point, we did not have pet insurance) In May of this year, we took him to our vet and they did X-rays and said most likely he has a partial tear in his ACL, however he couldn’t really tell in the X-ray because he wouldn’t stop wiggling for the pictures lol. Fast forward 6 months, he has a hard time getting around now on both legs because he’s over compensating with the other leg which I was told would more than likely happen. I plan to get the surgery for him asap.
We got Pets best insurance a month later after his appointment in May and we are just about at the “6-month waiting period.” I’ve never dealt with pet insurance before. I am familiar with the fact they don’t cover “pre-existing conditions.” I fear that when we go back in January for a new consult that the insurance isn’t going to cover his surgery because we stupidly took him to the vet prior to getting insurance. I guess my question is, has anyone dealt with pets best insurance for this type of situation? How were they?
Also, would anyone recommend a different insurance company? I know there are a select few that cover pre existing conditions. I feel like I totally screwed myself taking him to the vet for this before getting insurance. He’s only two and I refuse to let him suffer his whole life because of this.
Thanks for any advice in advance. Picture for attention ❤️
MI Medicaid - Insurance denied claim for ER visit and says I owe 0$ but I got a 1000$ bill from hospital in the mail.
I had an ER visit back in Dec 2024 and I got a bill yesterday for 1000$. On my insurance app (MI Medicaid) it says I owe 0$ and the claim was denied but I still got a bill. Am I responsible to pay this bill still? I submitted a claim with my insurance because it was an emergency and at night no urgent cares were open. It’s Sunday so nothing is open and nobody else I can talk to right now. What should I do?
Geico - Geico insurance auto damage claim
I recently settle down with Geico for an auto damage cost and they sent me a link where I can put my banking information for direct deposit, despite verifying with the bank about the entered information being corrected the website still shows "please verify the information for accuracy" I even used a family members card which didn't work, so then they automatically issued a check which never came despite being more than 10 days, I called them again and they said there's nothing they can do but issue a new check or redo the direct deposit which I did and still failed to verify the banking information, I suspect this is a system error, I'm currently waiting for the second check but I'm very anxious whether the check is gonna come or not? What should I do in this situation. Geico isn't able to track where my check goes
Aetna - Same provider, same service (acupuncture). Why did Aetna deny coverage for one visit out of six?
I have Aetna with acupuncture coverage. I had seen a provider 6 times, 3 times in 2023 and 3 times in 2024. All of the visits were coded CPT Code 97811 and CPT Code 97810. In 2024, I saw the provider in January, June, and July. For some reason, the visit in June was denied and Aetna said it was experimental. But the provider billed using the exact same code as before and after June 2024. All other claims had been paid.
I'm at a stage of appealing this decision. But I'm wondering if anyone has any insights into why a claim would randomly be deemed experimental when it was paid as normal otherwise?
