Trupanion Canada - Biggest waste of money
After paying $75-$105 monthly for my dog since I brought him home almost 10 years ago and NEVER needing to make a claim until his very last day I am so disappointed in what a waste this was. I was happy to pay as I didn’t want to worry about finances in an emergency and wanted to ensure I could help my dog. Well, with never missing a payment and only having a $200 deductible, Trupanion paid out $89 in my dogs end of life emergency. Oh, and they don’t cover the cost of cremation/burial, which I was told they did when I signed up!
You’re better off putting your money into savings and holding it for a raining day as I feel like I threw it away!
Healthy Paws - Beware
Beware! I paid then cancelled in a lotted time (like immediately) and requested stop payment but they went a head and took 2 months out. Called them and nothing was resolved.
Trupanion - They post false information on website
They post false information on website. Expect yearly amounts to raise to the point you would be better off putting money in your own bank. At first I liked the service but the company has totally changed. Now I. Stuck at there mercy but don't recommend for new customers.
Pets Best - Over $400 in charges. only $60 paid
On a $400 claim, Pets Best denied all but $60 saying "wellness maximum benefit exceeded." These were claims for January - when did I exceed my annual maximum benefit for the year? Also, it doesn't appear the unpaid expenses were even credited toward my annual deductible - what a rip-off.
Trupanion Canada - Save your money
Happily paid for 9.75 years never needing to make a claim but wanted to ensure in an emergency I did not have to worry. I paid $73-$105 a month over his life, it increases yearly even if you don't make a claim! Then when it came down to an end of life emergency, they paid out $89 (my deductible was only $200). Roughly $10,000 paid over his life time and they paid me $89.
Let me preface by saying that when I signed up they told me the cost of burial/cremation is covered which is why I went with them... ITS NOT! Put your money into savings, don't waste it on them, they wont even considering helping when you have to make the worst decision of your life.
Pets Best - Denying claims that should be covered
Denying claims that should be covered, I am wasting my time with a 2nd appeal
Trupanion - Do not use this company I have cancel…
Do not use this company I have canceled my service out in November and they didn't take payment out in December and they took both payments out in January they're supposed to give me half of the refund.I'm going to dispute the other half and if.I don't get my money back that way I would take this company to small claims and I'm going to share this on Facebook and other Media.
Fetch - Scam
Do not waste your money on Fetch. It’s completely useless and offers no help at all. It’s nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone. I spoke with Andrew, who was rude and unhelpful, claiming Banfield wouldn’t provide anything but never bothered to email me with any updates. The customer service is awful, and reaching anyone on the phone is a nightmare. I’ll never recommend Fetch to anyone—avoid it at all costs. It’s a scam.
Spot - Terrible customer service and trying to…
Terrible customer service and trying to rig me on reimbursement
Pets Best - Not your typical deductible
This company skirts over the fact that your deductible is used in an untypical fashion. For a $1300 bill, they only covered $49. My deductible is $1000 and I pay 20% of the bill that’s covered. The issue is that they calculate the 80% they pay first, put your deductible towards that, and then reimburse so it’s a much smaller reimbursement than typical insurance would do. I’ll be switching back to Embrace even though my premium will be a little higher.
