Pet Partners - Don't bother, they won't cover
Called to initiate coverage after adopting a puppy. CS agent was very rude, telling me that my coverage would not cover any pre existing condition in the puppy. I said I just wanted to start because I was taking her to the vet the next day for a wellness check and wanted to make sure the coverage started (this coverage came "free" with the adoption). She said it would in 24 hours. They actually didn't start it for 48 hours and my puppy ended up having an intestinal parasite, then developing kennel cough, then passing away within a month. They said that because the coverage started "after symptoms" she wouldn't be covered. Such an awful experience for our whole family. This is just another insurance company like US health insurance where their goal is to collect premiums and then deny as much as possible.
Pumpkin - How dare they label my dog
I just received a notification from Pumpkin regarding an appeal to a claim I submitted and they labeled my dog as having "consistent behaviors of aggression and anxiety." I filed an appeal for a claim that was denied because they decided it was a pre-existing condition. After the 4th of July on a night that I went out, my 7 year old German Shepherd was barking uncontrollably. My neighbor told me there were some large fireworks going off which probably brought on the anxiety, plus he started chewing on some things; for the first time he showed these signs of anxiety. The next day I called the Vet and he prescribed a medication that would calm the dog. Pumpkin originally denied the $57 medication claim because they called it as a pre-existing condition. They again requested all his records from the Vet, it was obvious they were phishing for an excuse to deny the claim. Even my Vet submitted a letter to Pumpkin. They claim that due to his records they found him to be aggressive and they have now labeled him that way.
Pawp - Pawp decides if its an emergency after the emergency!
I received Pawp pet protection as a benefit of Walmart + and enrolled in the emergency fund. My experience was the same as many other 1-star reviews, my claim was denied, after following their protocols. Their Vet said in her Facetime exam to get my dog to the ER, so I went.
Pumpkin - Disgusting practices.
Underwritten by US Fire Insurance which is owned and operated by Crum & Forster who is pure evil. I have learned that most positive reviews for any C & F underwritten companies are likely paid and planted because when you have billions stashed in the Cayman Islands, you can pay for PR. Total garbage company, greedy little roaches.
Pawp - ITS A SCAM
I wish I could give 0 stars. I’ve used this company for over 6 months and I was told by one of their vet to take my dog to the emergency clinic. Therefore, I went and missed work. I paid this clinic using the money I had for my rent. Only to wait almost a month for the response to come back declined. GUYS DO NOT EVEN TRY to APPEAL. They will not listen and will try to make you think it’s your fault for not taking your dog in sooner.
Kanguro - Terrible Customer Service
Asked a few simple questions that any other company has been very direct to answer. Not only do they keep contacting me in Spanish even though I keep telling them I don't speak it and please use English, but they avoid questions and do really rude and shady things already. And I haven't even signed up! Not compelled to use this insurance, they are just too exhausting.
Go Pet Plan - i have been saying for over 5 years…
i have been saying for over 5 years that the pet plan adverts are a con and a scam to cheat pet owners out of money i should no. i was with pet plan quite some time paid in to there scam my dog then became ill had operations at the time there advert promissed to pay out 90 plus percent of all vets bills what a lie and scam. when i contact them they promissed to pay the bill then for 4 months they messed me about saying we pay it then not finally they just cancelled the policy refused to pay the bill was huge took 3 years to pay of. the people they insure you will is Alliance insurrance the bottom line is they were only interest in getting money from people and they dont give a dam about your pet. i see they have a new tv advert on tv this time with a well known irish vet how some like him can say he cares about peoples pets yet he advertise for a company and insurers whos scams money out of pet lovers Mr Noel Fitzpatrick shame on you. you say you care but work with pet plan and Alliance who scam customers out of money and fales advertise how can some like you work with them hope they paying you good. so everyone beware of tv adverts as like others have said its a con scam they dont care about your pets they only after your money tv adverts are a con and a scam they make it sound good but theres always a catch.

Pawp - Scam!
My dog had a rash covering pretty much her whole body and diarrhea. The vet first said to monitor her symptoms. I called my normal vet and they said they couldn't get her in for 2 weeks and that I should take her to an animal hospital. We took her to the hospital and she ended up having HGE. They think the rash might have been caused by the same thing that caused the HGE. The bill was $500. I submitted it to the emergency fund and they wouldn't cover it. Said it wasn't an emergency and that I waited 2 days to take her (because she had diarrhea for a couple days, but it got worse on the day we took her). They told me to just monitor her symptoms (on the same day I took her to the vet) then said oh it's not covered because you didn't take her soon enough... Even though it was only about 2 hours after our conversation! I cancelled my account. I don't trust their "vets" or trust that they'll actually let you use the emergency fund.
