Progressive - LexxisNexxis won't remove erroneous insurance claims
In 2022 I made a small insurance claim for water damage, $2k, with Progressive. Since then, every time I get quotes for homeowners insurance I get denied, or have to accept high rates, because the Lexxis Nexxus database shows I made 3 claims. A year ago I disputed these several times, and got a letter from Progressive that confirms I only made 1 claim. When I talk to LN, they tell me they've removed the claims, but over a year later I'm still getting denied by insurance quotes and told they are still showing up by the insurance companies. Is there an agency like the CFPB I can submit a complaint to about Lexxus? Or do I need to get a lawyer letter involved? I already have to deal with living in a hurricane prone area with high rates and these higher rates are crippling.

Trupanion - best canadian pet insurance for 1-year old cat?
hello everyone! I just adopted a cat, a 1-year old female (spayed, no previous health conditions). she's been to the vet, and they didn't note anything out of the ordinary. I was going to go with trupanion, but have seen a lot of mixed reviews about their compensation policy (something about per condition).
I was wondering if anyone here has been in a similar situation to me? what insurance do you use for your cat?
State Farm - State Farm Nightmare
I was rear ended in January and filed a claim with state farm
The girl who hit me was in her fathers car which had state farm, liability coverage she has dairyland with full coverage.
I am a State Farm customer (not after this) and was assured that this matter would be settled quickly. I was told by my first adjuster that my car was a total loss, since my car was newer that it would exceed her father’s liability coverage and they would open a claim with dairyland on my behalf to get the rest. They complete the estimate, do not contact me on what their assessments were and also changed my adjuster without contacting me whatsoever with my new adjusters contact information. I had to find this out on my own by calling after hearing nothing for two weeks after the estimate was complete. They said “maybe” my settlement would be 8k flat for reasons they seem to not be able to answer, they haven’t even offered me a settlement by this point. They said they valued my car at 11k. Which honestly would be a joke if it is 8k. I talked to my adjuster on Thursday and she is reading my information on my policy and for whatever reason State Farm has put that I have dairyland as my insurance on my claim.
I feel at this point my claim has been handled with complete negligence and I am at a loss on what to do, I genuinely would like to move on with my life as this has caused me a lot of emotional and psychological distress.
What are questions I could ask to understand this process more, or get traction with? Why would they open a claim on my behalf just to tell me to “do it myself” later on?
I have never been in a wreck like this before so this is just another learning experience, but I do not feel as if my claim is being handled properly or correctly. Any advice would be appreciated, also please don’t be rude as I am already going through enough with this debacle.
Lemonade - Why is Lemonade quoting me 107 dollars a month for a 3 year old dog
Hey
My dog and I are moving to NYC this fall. She's a 3 year old spayed beagle. I did some research and lemonade was suppose to be the cheapest option but they are quoting me 107 dollars per month for a 80% deductible! What is happening?
Any other options for pet insurance? I was hoping to be under 25 dollars per month for my pet so that I can put another 15 towards renters insurance. I am a student for the next year and a half so I wanted to be careful with money just for the next year and a half. Any help will be appreciated !
Edit 1: you guys have been so helpful with such amazing suggestions! Moving internationally all these suggestions will help me make the safest decision for my girl! So thank you so very much !!
HSBC - Can't transfer loyalty ISA to 212 ISA
I am getting a crappy rate on my so-called HSBC "loyalty" ISA and want to move it to 212. When I go through the steps in the app, it connects to my bank account and opens my HSBC accounts, but my loyalty ISA is not there as an option to transfer from. All my other accounts are showing?
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong here?
Farmers - Farmer's fault now trying to settle
Location: Arizona
Was in an accident and Farmers client was at fault. I had borrowed a car but had to return it. My insurance company offered a total loss on my car that was being repaired which I accepted but I had to rent a car while I looked for a new one (which took a week )
Farmers is refusing to pay for that rental because they said they are not legally obligated to pay for anything after the offer was made to pay for my old car. Is this correct ?
State Farm - Best discounts for medical professions?
Hey guys, State Farm is trying to increase my rates by another $300 per 6 months. Told them I’ll be taking my 19 years of customer service with me. Which insurance has discounts for being a nurse?
Anthem - Help- adding a dependent to account
This may be an easy fix but I’m all kinds of jumbled and need someone to explain it to me like I’m 5.
I have Anthem Pathways through the marketplace. We used a company to help us get that insurance. So already my mind is boggled…so many moving parts.
I have an account on Anthem that lets me see EOBs for myself. These EOBs are important because I use them to upload to the company I mentioned before in order to get reimbursed through my workplace. Still with me?
I want to be able to add my son’s EOBs because that will help us reach our family OOP faster. Problem is, I haven’t been receiving his EOBs. I figured I would add him as a dependent on my Anthem account and could get those.
No such luck. After looking and looking for a way to do this, I emailed Support. They told me that since I have a plan through marketplace, I need to call something called the Exchange?? What is that?? And that they will review something, send it over to Anthem, and then I can put my son on and see all his info.
Please break this down for me. What does it all mean? What do I need to do in order to get his EOBs? Why is this all so effing complicated?
I hope I gave enough info. Please let me know if there is something missing that could help me.
Thank you so much in advance.
Pets Best - Just got Pets Best insurance for my 8-week Aussie! Anyone else do a vet checkup to avoid “pre-existing condition” issues?
Hey everyone! I just got an 8-week-old Australian Shepherd and signed him up for a policy with Pets Best. After reading through the contract, I noticed they have a clause that says even undocumented or undiagnosed conditions can be considered “pre-existing” if the pet showed any signs or symptoms before the policy start date or during the waiting period.
Now I’m kinda paranoid and want to protect myself in case they try to deny anything later and try to blame it on that clause. I’ve read stuff online about insurances doing that.
Has anyone else done a routine vet checkup right after enrolling, just to have something on file that says the pup was healthy at the start of the policy? Did it help? I’m thinking of doing one this week just for that reason.
Would love to hear what others did — or if anyone’s dealt with a similar denial. Trying to play it smart before something pops up!
State Farm - I don't want it to be mine at all no percentage.
Had an accident the other day my insurances says I’m 30% and the other party is 70% so what will I end up paying out? Even though the police said he was 100 at fault. I haven't seen the official Police report yet, not sure if the Police added he was at fault in the report. Hoping he did as even with dash cam it shows him hitting me in between my Drivers front fender and Driver's door which I can't open BTW. How can this be my fault in away.. State of Florida is weird with reports they only gave names and insurance info which the other party gave false information for New York driver.
